Job Description

Role Summary

The XPDEL® Director, Environmental Health & Safety (D,EHS) will establish and lead XPDEL's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program, to include the development and implementation of all EHS compliance and risk management processes company-wide. The D,EHS is responsible for driving Environmental Health & Safety performance improvement, while mentoring and motivating associates across all teams, creating a culture of continuous improvement and success. This role is responsible for integrating the EHS agenda with Leadership, and for supporting integrating EHS into daily operations.

The Director, Environmental Health & Safety is expected to use excellent communication and interpersonal skills, providing timely and concise information while working collaboratively across the organization to ensure that all relevant objectives are communicated and facilitated as planned. The D,EHS is responsible for modeling XPDEL® values and promoting its culture.

Key Result Areas

  • Develop and implement companywide EHS management programs to ensure full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and customer requirements.
  • Assess and cost-effectively manage EHS-related risks with the long-term objective to eliminate hazards and further reduce risk.
  • Establish property risk management, product environmental compliance, workers' compensation claims management programs.
  • Develop processes and tools to embed EHS into business operations, including audit and oversight processes for all sites.
  • Remain up-to-date and conversant with relevant laws, regulations and other statutory requirements that impact EHS across XPDEL.
  • Support sustainability reporting.
  • Develop "EHS playbook" that can also be used to help our customers manage EHS audits, develop action plans to resolve findings, and implement countermeasures promptly and effectively.
  • Serve as the contact for government agencies.
  • Provide leadership on EHS issues within XPDEL, assist top management in understanding business impacts of EHS issues thereby enabling prudent allocation of resources and decision-making.
  • Mentor associates with EHS responsibilities across company sites and provide input to performance appraisals form these associates.
  • Develop and manage the delivery of EHS training.
  • Collaborate with and develop great working relationships with business unit leaders, customers, vendors and government agency representatives.

Job Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • EHS-related licenses, certifications and/or membership in EHS professional associations are desired.
  • Experience managing people in multiple geographies
  • Operation or business management experience, and experience with lean metrics and processes.
  • Working-level project leadership and department or functional area management
  • Must be able to view issues in a systematic and logical way.
  • Well-organized and have an appreciation of the need for details and accuracy.
  • An ability to work under own initiative is important as is the ability to prioritize multiple workloads and tasks whilst still meeting timelines
  • Persistent and able to work in a high intensity, ever changing working environment.
  • Results oriented; thrives in a culture that values individual initiative yet expects teamwork and collaboration
  • 50% travel expected


Location: Open to All US locations. Dallas, TX preferred
