Microbiologist - Medical Device Division

Description:
This role is a wonderful opportunity for starting a career in the medical device field. We are making an impact by ensuring our devices are manufactured with quality and are safe for patient use. This person will test medical devices for residual endotoxin and bacterial loads on the surfaces. They will also perform testing of the controlled environments (like a clean room) to ensure products are being manufactured in a manner to control levels of contaminants. We are looking for a motivated person, who is a self-starter, and who wants to make an impact in the health of people's lives.
- Fulfill microbiology role supporting new product development, production, controlled environments, and sterilization.
- Complete execution of deliverables related to microbiology, contamination control, cleaning/disinfection validation of manufacturing areas, post sterile product release, and controlled environment monitoring/certification.
- Perform investigations and provide technical support for non-conforming events and CAPA related to microbiology and controlled environments. Review and approve test results generated by the Microbiology lab.
- Data entry and maintenance of test results and volumes into lab tracking spreadsheets
Qualifications:
- Must have good communication, be self reliant and work well in a team environment
- Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Related
