Description
Microbiology Laboratory Analyst III in Lebanon, NJ AMRI provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The Microbiology Laboratory Analyst III is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by assisting in the execution and development of technical and business aspects of the Microbiology Laboratory.
As the Microbiology Laboratory Analyst III you will be responsible for the training and development of personnel, sample intake, performing sample analyses, and any other tasks as assigned by management. • Train and coach staff on appropriate laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Perform and design Microbiological testing according to current USP compendial methods as well as customer-provided and internal methods.
• Perform, lead, and/or support QC, PM, and PV lab tasks as needed.
• Ensure the microbiology lab is cGMP compliant and audit-ready at all times.
• Lead or participate in laboratory investigations for NC/OOS/OOT events as needed.
• Ensure client, quality, and management requests are met in a timely and effective manner.
• Be responsible for protocol and report write up and approval.
• Contribute to the development of department plan to meet future client needs.
• Maintain safety as a top priority. Every employee within the organization has defined EHS Duties and responsibilities to ensure that the organization meets its objectives of no harm to personnel, damage to equipment, or harm to the environment.
• In conjunction with the Management team ensure department operates in a manner that is profitable
Qualifications
• External Qualifications and background to be successful in this role: Required
• BS in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline with 4-7 years experience in a laboratory or research and development setting OR MS in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline with 3-6 years experience in a laboratory or research and development setting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in the design, validation, and execution of Sterility Studies
• Experience in the use, validation, qualification, and maintenance of sterility isolators
