Responsibilities
Noblis supports the Department of Defense in the technical evaluation and oversight of the environmental restoration program use of remediation technologies and PFAS issues. Our team of senior experts work closely in developing and implementing processes to ensure that environmental remediation progress is successfully proceeding to meet program objectives. Noblis provides technical support in DoD emerging issues, including PFAS planning, investigations, technology design and evaluation, regulatory issues, and life-cycle restoration management.
The Senior Principal Environmental Engineer/Scientist provides technical and program level support to various federal client organizations and agencies in the area of environmental science and engineering, environmental planning, and environmental remediation. The Senior Principal's responsibilities include:
- Evaluation of environmental remediation technologies, with a focus on perflourinated (PFAS) remediation technologies
- Expertise in PFAS issues and impact on DoD
- Development, analysis, and selection of remedial alternatives and exit strategies
- Technical review of restoration documents
- Writing technical reports of complex technical analysis
- Quality assurance oversight of program activities and work products
- Evaluation of costs
- Develop innovative program initiatives with high level program impact for DOD clients
- Support Business development initiatives to expand Noblis support to new clients
Client Engagement
· Support and lead evolving business development efforts by applying technical and functional expertise to develop business solutions.
· Lead proposal sections for small or limited competition proposals and actively participate in teaming strategy discussions
Qualifications
- Science or engineering degree required. Masters is preferred. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- Experience in environmental remediation and PFAS issues, with a focus in remediation investigation/technology evaluation and implementation.
- Experience in designing, constructing, operating environmental remediation systems. Deep understanding or expertise in one or more remediation technology is required. Examples include:
- In situ biologic or abiotic remediation
- Innovative ex situ chemical separation and destruction technologies
- Perflourinated compound separation and destruction technologies
- High resolution site characterization technologies
- Conceptual Site Model development, evaluation and data gap analysis for complex restoration sites
- Demonstrated recognized technical expertise in an important area of environmental remediation or investigation technologies, including high resolution site characterization
- Ability to think independently, to work in group environments, and to represent Noblis and our clients in a variety of highly visible and often technically complex circumstances.
- Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills.
- DoD and other Federal government experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
