*Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm*

The Quality Control Microbiology Analyst will have the opportunity to coordinate and collaborate with other cross-functional departments, including Analytical Development, Process Development, Quality Assurance, Facilities, Procurement, etc.

This is a position which will provide a learning/growth opportunity to execute various quality systems, such as document change request, lab investigations, change controls, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

* Routine and non-Routine Environmental Monitoring: surface, air and compressed gasses in GMP manufacturing facility and laboratories.

* Growth promotion testing for qualification of microbiological media and rinses

* Routine sampling and testing of WFI, pure steam, city water and PW

* Routine plate reading

* Perform Gown and Hood Qualifications

* Ensure timely testing and tracking of all samples.

* Reviews/analyze data with respect to specifications, validity criteria, alert limits.

* Document deviations: assist in determining root cause and apply CAPA.

* Support equipment maintenance and calibration

* Initiate, revise and review SOP's, test methods, method qualification reports

* Maintain lab compliance by performing routine housekeeping, including but not limited to stocking of lab supplies, sample management and compliance to safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in a Scientific field with at least 1-4 years experience in a GMP QC laboratory

* Excellent observation and attention to detail and accuracy for record keeping and documentation

* 1-4 years lab experience, preferably in a GMP setting

* Good ability to problem-solve and find creative and effective solutions

* Team work and communication are key attributes needed for this position, as this role will be part of a small team within quality control. A collaborative attitude and a positive work ethic are key traits for success.

* High motivation to meet demands and standards of the QC department and our cross-functional teams

Essential requirements

* Skills in Biological/Chemical Sciences, Math and English.

* Knowledge of cGMP's and ICH Guidelines

* Able to work independently as part of a team or lead a team on assigned projects.

* Effective organizational and solid record-keeping skills

* Effective communication skills

* Ability to lift >25lbs, stand on feet for 2 hours, squat, crawl, bend and work in loud, wet, and hot/cold environments

* Ability to stand and handle repetitive motions for an extended period of time

* Ability to use vision to differentiate colors

* Effective hearing capabilities

* Able to work a flexible schedule as needed

* Accessibility via Cell Phone

* Work a nonstandard schedule

* Work some evening or night shift hours

* Provide coverage for other positions, shifts, or functions

* Special skills/knowledge:

* Technical writing

* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Preferred Experience:

* Experience in Raw Material testing

* QC testing of large molecule (antibody) experience

* Familiarity with various lab equipment's
