Basic Summary
We are seeking a Technician II, Molecular Biology for our Biologics Testing Solutions site located inWayne, PA.
Under direct supervision, responsible for performing daily laboratory tasks as they relate to Molecular Biology Testing Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Perform laboratory activities necessary for molecular biology testing including, but not limited to:
- reagent preparation
- laboratory maintenance/monitoring,
- execution of molecular biology techniques such as bacterial/yeast growth,
- DNA/RNA isolation,
- restriction endonuclease digestion,
- gel electrophoresis and routine testing of client samples
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent in biology or related discipline.
- 1 to 2 year of related experience in a biological laboratory.
- Knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Knowledge of CGMPs or related regulatory affairs pertaining to the pharmaceutical and biological industries required.
- Able to communicate effectively in a group setting. Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred.
