Description:
Looking for a highly motivated, interactive and creative Research Associate to join our team. This position will contribute to advancing preclinical drug development programs from target identification/validation through support of clinical stage programs. The candidate will be expected to effectively collaborate with colleagues in Pharmacology/Biology, Chemistry, DMPK and Nonclinical Drug Safety. The successful candidate will demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication and will need to present scientific results to multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Establish, design and conduct biochemical and cellular assays to support immunology, autoimmune and immuno-oncology projects. Proficient in molecular biology assay including Western blot analysis, ELISA and MSD. Proficient with aseptic cell culture techniques to support compound screening and nucleic acid techniques including RNA isolation and qPCR assay. Contribute to the handling and analysis of ex vivo samples, such as blood or tissue samples, isolated from in vivo animal models of autoimmune disease and immune-oncology. Effectively communicate and present summaries of research results to team members or to a multidisciplinary team of researchers. Handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a highly collaborative matrix environment. Accurately maintain proper scientific documentation in an electronic lab notebook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
B.S. with academic or industry laboratory experience and a clearly demonstrated skill set in cellular biology, molecular biology, immunology or related field. Cell culture background with demonstrated experience in handling human and animal whole blood, primary immune cells and cell lines. Proficiency in several cell-based assays and technologies including cell functional assays, ELISA, multiplex cytokine/growth factor assessment (Mesoscale), HTRF and others. Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to the execution of experiments and record keeping is a requirement. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with peers and management, both internally and externally is required
