Oregon Tech is seeking applications for an Environmental Health & Safety Professional 2in the Environmental Health/Safety Office (EH&S). This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Oregon Tech campus in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The EH&S mission is to foster a safe and healthy environment for the Oregon Tech community across all campus locations.This position will coordinate training programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local codes and develop innovative safety training materials and resources. This position will also conduct departmental safety audits and advise departments on issues of environmental health and safety and participate within the EH&S on-call emergency response system. All employees shall conduct themselves in accordance with the mission and vision's values of Oregon Tech.

Required:
- A Bachelor's degree with primary focus (45 quarter hours or 32 semester hours) in the physical sciences AND Two years of related professional experience in environmental, health, or safety; OR
- A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or professional certifications.
- Graduate level courses in the subject areas may be substituted, on a credit-hour basis, for a portion of the required experience.
- Preference may be given to applicants who have completed graduate-level courses or have additional experience in Industrial Hygiene, or in occupational, public, or environmental programs.
- Transcripts must be submitted for all required and/or related courses.
- A valid driver's license.

- Hazardous-Waste Shipper Certification
- Renovator LRRP-Lead Abatement Certification
- DOT-Flagger Certification
