*Position Title: Bioinformatics Specialist*

*Position Overview*

*The Bioinformatics Specialist *will apply their knowledge to the management of biological and genomic data. Will build databases to contain the information, write scripts to analyze it, and queries to retrieve it.

*Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:*

* Develop data mining tools for genetic and metabolic pathway optimization

* Prepare statistical considerations for experimental designs and carry out statistical analyses independently

* Develop simulation models for novel enzymatic pathways based on biochemistry, microbiology and statistical knowledge

* Assesses relevant literature as well as existing data, evaluates the quality of data used in reports

* Serve as an example for the company values

*Position Qualifications: *

* PhD Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field

* 1-2 years professional experience in biotech genetic engineering, or 5 years of the same experience with a Master's Degree; wet lab experience a plus

* In-depth experience with bioinformatics-driven genetic engineering

* Proficient in common programming language; coding experience a plus

* Experience with programming for laboratory automation a plus

* Prior startup experience preferred

* Multidisciplinary background preferred, particularly in chemistry

*Education/Experience Requirements:*

* Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

* Two (2) to five (5) years in a Lead or Supervisory role.

* Associates or bachelor's degree in a scientific or related discipline a plus.
