Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Title: Microbiology Laboratory Technician

Location: Newark, DE

Schedule: Day shift

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine testing on client samples in a microbiology laboratory setting
• Daily performance of pipetting, both single channel and multi-channel pipetting
• Ability to follow appropriate SOPs repeatedly throughout the day
• Perform documentation on all testing in a clean and organized manner
• Perform data entry in Excel

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or Environmental Science
• Experience working within an industry microbiology laboratory required; experience working in an academic microbiology laboratory will be accepted
• Ability to perform general laboratory techniques, including pipetting, plate streaking, etc
• Experience accurately recording data
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques is preferred
