Our client is a Global engineering firm and they are looking for an Arborists / Assistant Project Managers to join there world-class firm in New York City! This position will work on projects for NYC Parks within the five boroughs of NYC.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our team locally with support from one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country. This position will utilize your technical knowledge and experience to help guide the City's tree preservation and street tree programs. The successful candidate needs to have a strong commitment to providing a safe and healthful workplace and excellent communications, both verbal and written. Our ideal candidate will have an interest and ability to network, support proposals and contribute to our firm's growth in the NYC market.

Work under the supervision of the Project Manager or Project Executive and help us build and grow our practice. As you grow with company, you will become involved with other NYC Parks' programs, and with other City agencies, all with a focus on the City's urban forest and other natural systems such as the Staten Island Bluebelt.

Position responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
*Maintain daily records and review the daily reports of other inspection personnel, providing feedback and advice for improvement.
*Use the City's Forms program as required for the assignment.
*Act as an ambassador for the City's urban forest resource during interaction with the City's residents and landowners
*Monitor construction daily for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with another City Agencies.
*Monitor Contractor's adherence to technical requirements and overall responsiveness and effectiveness.
*Use effective oral and written communication skills to effectively represent company and/or our client Agencies in interactions with the client, local agencies, and the community.

Required Qualifications
*3+ years' relevant work experience
*Associates degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Forest Biology, Environmental Resources Engineering, or closely related field
*ISA Arborist Certification
*Practical experience in tree protection, pruning, installation, and establishment.
Preferred Qualifications
*BS in Forestry, Forest Biology, Environmental Resources Engineering, or closely related field
*Active participation in regional or national professional associations
