General Responsibilities:

Our Seattle office is looking for a Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) to manage regulated building materials and industrial hygiene projects. This position is for a career-level professional who will be responsible for direct client contact, generation of proposals and cost estimates, planning, scheduling, conducting, or coordinating site testing, developing sampling and analysis plans, review of proposals, reports and other technical documents, and formulating recommendations for projects varying in size and complexity. The position also requires the Sr. PM to prepare abatement bid documents (plans and specifications) and assist clients with construction administration and manage project monitoring.

In this position the candidate must be able to develop health and safety plans and provide recommendations that comply federal, state and local regulations. The candidate should be adept at interpreting and applying EPA, OSHA and Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, Department of Ecology, and Local Clean Air Agency regulations on projects of various sizes. The candidate will be experienced in preparing technical documents including proposals, reports and regulatory agency correspondence to support existing clients and project portfolios, and expand our service offerings.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
Work as a team member and participate with environmental staff and management on projects ranging in complexity.
Understand and implement technical requirements to complete projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
Possess strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Develop and apply innovative solutions to clients' complex projects.
Experienced in evaluating, and synthesizing laboratory and field data, and assembly in written reports.
Provide professional and collaborative guidance to field personnel.
Serve as an inter-disciplinary team member in meetings and communications with clients pertaining to specific projects/tasks.
Perform site visits, field observations and field data collection with ability to collect detailed site observations and notes.
Review the detailed site observations and notes of others and provide constructive criticism.
Mentor, supervise, and oversee staff environmental scientists and technicians.
Conduct client development activities and work with our team to our business in environmental services throughout the Puget Sound area market.
Provide excellent customer service.
Demonstrate a commitment to follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects for incident and injury free operations.
Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Lead and participate in Pre-Task planning.
Understand and follow project quality and corporate quality standards for all projects.
Understand contract language and collaborate with Terracon's legal department to manage contractual risk.
Applicable knowledge of industrial hygiene practices in the areas of indoor air quality, mold/moisture, and occupational exposure assessments is a plus.
Provide environmental support to multiple services lines including phase I ESA, geotechnical services, construction and building materials, and facilities.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Geology or related science field and a minimum of 8 years' related experience;
Have current certifications that may include:

EPA AHERA Building Inspector
EPA AHERA Project Designer
HAZWOPER
Asbestos Worker or Supervisor
EPA Lead Inspector/Assessor
NIOSH 582 certification

Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
Ability to occasionally travel out of town.
Flexible work schedule, to ensure project timelines are completed.
Possess strong writing skills.
Attention to detail, note taking skills.
Ability to work on a team.
