Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting candidates for a Chromatography Analyst position at an environmental lab in Northeast Connecticut. The overall responsibility of the role is to perform routine chromatography analyses to support the analytical testing needs of clients following established SOP's and adhering to state, federal and other accrediting body requirements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Prepare necessary standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for sample analyses
- Utilize specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation to process and analyze samples
- Perform equipment and instrumentation set up
- Monitor and address sample backlog issues
- Maintain accurate, up to date logs, notebooks and equipment records
- Perform necessary laboratory administrative functions such as filing paperwork, photocopying, reviewing of data, and entering data into computerized LIMS
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Chemistry or related discipline
- GC, GC/MS or HPLC experience is highly preferred
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines and rush orders
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work with delicate laboratory equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
This is a direct hire position with a Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm work schedule, and an hourly pay rate of $19.26. If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume for immediate consideration.
