Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for generation and characterization of mRNA to support influenza vaccine discovery and development

Major Accountabilities:
Synthesis and characterization of mRNA-based vaccine constructs
  • Optimize and implement protocols for in vitro synthesis of mRNA
  • Support characterization of mRNA vaccine formulations
  • Support assay development for additional cell-based analysis of mRNA vaccine candidates

Documentation and presentation of scientific results.
  • Write experimental protocols and prepare internal reports. Maintain lab notebooks.
  • Collaborate with project teams, present research results and contribute to technical advancements and publications.

Lab management.
  • Maintain functional laboratory equipment and follow HSE regulation.
  • Support other functions and other divisions when needed.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or related biological sciences.
  • BS with 3+ or MS with 0-3 years of academic or pharmaceutical/biotech experience in molecular biology.
  • Strong experience with molecular biology (preferably with mRNA) is required
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and protein expression is desired
  • Creativity and the ability to generate accurate and reproducible results along with multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced environment are critical.
  • Organizational, written and oral communication skills and ability to work in teams are required.
