- Maintaining current knowledge and oversight within the Air Compliance Program for Motiva's Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex
- Effectively working within a team setting to continuously evaluate and drive environmental program improvements
- Working closely with Production and Maintenance team members to provide technical and compliance support in a timely manner
- Application of risk identification and management processes for emerging regulatory issues and continuous improvement
- Coordinating and managing the tracking of environmental performance and compliance to required environmental programs, goals, and report progress and variances to site leadership
- Day-to-day management of department environmental activities
- Complying with all Federal, State, and local environmental regulatory requirements, as well as company internal standards and requirements
- Providing management with recommendations for programs that will achieve environmental compliance and drive continuous improvement
- Participating in the site's environmental on-call duty rotation to provide after-hours support when needed
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or in a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience working in environmental air compliance programs
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Prior experience with regulatory emission reporting programs such as Emissions Inventory, Greenhouse Gas, Toxic Release Inventory, and Tier II Chemical Inventory reporting
- Prior experience using process data interface applications, emissions reporting and incident tracking tools/databases, software such as MS Excel, regulatory reporting portals, etc. to collect, evaluate and prepare emissions reports
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection)
Other Considerations:
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the requirement of a work visa
- Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
- Must support and comply with the company's drug free work environment, which will include random drug screenings
- Must support and comply with the company's harassment free workplace environment policy
- Must support and comply with the company's safety policies and initiatives
- Must support and comply with the company's diversity and inclusion work environment policies
