The Department of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of cell culture, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, flow cytometry, CRISPR screening, and animal models of cancer. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoral experience in the field of DNA damage response and immune response.
Responsibilities may include investigation of communication between DNA damage response and immune response in vitro and in vivo, using a wide range of approaches including cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and animal models.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to further develop critical thinking skills, writing skills including manuscript and grant, presentation skills such as presenting research work in national and international conferences, and participate in cancer trainings offered by the University of Pennsylvania.
