*Biology Lab Assistant, Indianapolis, IN*
*12-month contract via Kelly Services. Pay for this role will be in the range of $17 - $18/hr.*
Prior experience in microbiology, biotechnology, biology, or related field are required (academic experience is fine). Prior experience using aseptic technique is required.
Under the direction of scientists and technicians, the contractor is responsible for supporting high-throughput (HTP) microbial screening activities.
The contractor will perform routine and non-routine tasks including but not limited to ordering supplies, cleaning and organizing lab areas, performing manual liquid transfers, operating automated liquid handlers, and storing and retrieving samples from freezers and shakers.
The ideal candidate needs to be able to collaborate closely with the technicians and scientists and complete tasks under their supervision to ensure effective day-to-day operations. Good communication and time management skills are essential to this role.
