Overview:
QuantiTech is currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support our customer U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense (SMDC)in Huntsville AL.

Responsibilities:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:Serve as an Environmental Compliance Specialist for the Commands Environmental Compliance program under the purview the Deputy Chief of Staff Engineer (DCSENG), United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.Support the Environmental Compliance Manager in the execution of the Commands Environmental Compliance program.Manage the documentation and record keeping for compliance assessments, audits, courtesy visits, and training.Perform Environmental Compliance Assessments in the areas of Hazmat Management, Solid Waste Management, Wastewater Management, Hazardous Waste (HW) Management, Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants (POL) Management, Pollution Prevention and Waste Minimization, Spill Prevention and Response.Plan and conduct Courtesy Visits, and training for the Command across 23 world-wide locations as required in selected Environmental Compliance areas.Track events on the commands master assessment schedule.Provide inputs to the Environmental Compliance documentation system for the command to include inputs and tracking of assessments and corrective actions.Coordinate with SMDC stakeholders daily to maintain scheduled milestones.Capable of executing extensive environmental compliance support for Department of Defense (DoD) facilities and tenants for the Command. The individual hired for this position must be able to work both independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.10+ years of relevant work / job experience in Environmental Compliance activities.Demonstrated experience in the Microsoft suite of office tools.Strong Environmental Compliance experience, including managing or conducting compliance assessments as defined in AR 200-1 and DODI 4715.5.Must be able to perform Temporary Duty (TDY) at the Commands 23 world-wide locations as required during conduct of assessments, audits, or training. (TDY currently restricted due to COVID).Desired Qualifications:Comprehensive knowledge of DoD Environmental Compliance requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience in the development and execution of Environmental Compliance assessments.Demonstrated knowledge of HAZMAT (HAZCOM) process and procedures on DoD facilities.40 HR HAZWOPER/HAZCOMEnvironmental Compliance Auditor trainingApplicants for positions which require a US government security clearance must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship.
