Job Description Summary
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations with regards to health, safety, and productivity of workers and environmental impacts of our organization's operations. Essential functions include development and oversight of worker safety training programs; investigation of job incidents and provide recommendations for incident mitigation; analyze potential worker safety risks and implement mitigation measures to reduce overall injuries, and facilitate government safety inspections. Lead development of policies and procedures; compliance with federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations; implementation of compliance tracking programs and recording keeping systems, and implement specific environmental health and safety program initiatives such as DuPont STOP, safety training, ergonomics and auditing. Set the strategic direction and manage overall environmental, health and safety programs and risks to ensure zero safety incidents across campus.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. Bachelor's in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or other related science/engineering degree preferred.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted United States driver's license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley's insurance carrier.
  • Solid, comprehensive working knowledge/understanding of a specific EH&S field including related laws and regulations, and general understanding of all EH&S fields.
  • Solid organizational skills to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Skill in the appropriate use of technology and relevant scientific equipment as required.
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to understand key achievements, goals, and objectives while leading groups of internal and external resources to meet project goals.
  • Ability to put strategy to action and influence across various functions and levels within the organization.
  • Industry certifications/designations preferred, e.g. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), HAZWOPER- Emergency Response, CPR and First Aid Certification Instructor, other certifications related to environmental, hazardous waste, safety.
