Responsibilities:
Job Description: Organize, provide logistical support, and attend conference calls, scientific meetings and workshops; coordinate background materials, prepare meeting agendas and write minutes accurately. Maintain real time administrative budget records for CF programs (such as expenses for travel and workshops). Work with the DDEMD program staff to collate information into annual reports for CF programs. Implement organizational priorities and provide a wide range of liaison and administrative services to program leadership. Mine NIH databases to conduct analyses of NIH sponsored research activities and out put. Coordinate updates of programmatic websites. Collaborate with other Scientific Program Analysts and other NIDDK Staff. Evaluate the main scientific content of new grant applications to facilitate their assignment to the proper DDEMD program leadership. Perform portfolio analyses, scientific categorization and reporting.
Qualifications:
Required Skills: Bachelors degree in Biology, Life Sciences or other related discipline. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in biology or other related field. Strong knowledge in biology and scientific terminology. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented work practices. Excellent project management, analytical, organizational, and computer skills. Minimum of intermediate level proficiency in use of MS Office Suite. Minimum of intermediate level proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, databases and websites. Ability to successfully deal with multiple tasks and multiple programs simultaneously in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to work collaboratively. Knowledge of and experience using Pubmed.
