WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage, develop, implement, and ensure current & future programs are designed to continuously improve, reduce risks and minimize losses associated with employee safety, industrial hygiene, fire protection, environmental issues, fleet safety and occupational health. Ensure compliance with all Corporate, Divisional, local, state and federal regulations pertaining to Environmental, Health Safety and Security.
- Responsible for environmental management, monitoring and reporting.
- Supervises and develops the safety, fleet safety and health department/programs, including establishing strategic vision, selection/interviewing candidates, performance appraisals, growth plan development, employee relations and administering/communicating all aspects of human resources in the department.
- Develop and conduct safety and environmental training; provide resources to ensure completion of training.
- Interface with Corporate, Division, intrasite and with community organizations/agencies regarding safety, environmental and health & security issues.
- Initiate and submit the appropriate reports as needed/requested.
- Conduct/delegate incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
- Serve as the expert on all safety, environmental, health & security issues on site(s)/departmental projects, new equipment installations, product/supply changes, etc.
- Complete RCE reviews.
- Identifies and quantifies EHS risks and their consequences relative to overall business goals and recommends appropriate actions.
- Proactively recognizes and responds to changing trends, market conditions, regulatory legislation, etc. Evaluate and integrate the information to define potential effect on the site.
- Responsible for initiation, prioritization and assignment of EHS projects within the facility.
- Coordinates the investigation of serious accidents.
- Accountable for internal and external audits and inspections.
- Accountable for the facility EHS plan, site EHS procedure accuracy, effectiveness and implementation.

- This individual must possess sound judgment and problem-solving skill, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal and consulting skills, good organizational and computer skills, consistent customer orientation and a multi-disciplinary function.
- Engage senior leadership to cultivate the right EHS culture from Top Down
- Engage site leadership and making site accountable for EHS performance
- Engage division EHS liaisons and stakeholders. Work closely, understand challenges and provide guidance to build trust and cooperation
- Build a competent EHS liaison team within each site. Lead by example, demonstrate leadership and support EHS liaisons.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Science, Technical, related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Five to twelve years' experience in environmental, health and safety is required.
- A minimum of two years' supervisory experience is recommended.
- Proficient skills in MS Office Suite
