Description
The Scientist II will provide molecular biology expertise for sequencing projects.
Main responsibilities include:
- Preparing materials for sequencing projects
- Upload sequencing outputs into the internal database
- Develop methods to curate sequencing outputs with regards to relevance towards drug safety, pharmacology, and manufacturability
- Interface with CROs to coordinate classical and next generation sequencing (NGS) efforts to obtain Immunoglobulin sequences
- Develop pipelines to analyze NGS outputs as required
- Proficiently execute tasks in bioinformatics, curation, and data analyses
Required
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology
- Good Molecular Biology skills such as DNA plasma preparation, PCR, and cloning
- Bioinformatics and Functional genomics experience
- Computer programming experience
- Basic understanding of Unix/Linux and shell scripting
Preferred
- Experience with Python, Perl, and C
