What You Will Be Doing Reporting to the Project Lead, this person will support preclinical research and drug discovery across multiple therapeutic areas including auto-immune, inflammation, and other immune-related diseases. The candidate will be focused in planning and/or executing in vitro and ex vivo cell-based experiments, performing assay troubleshooting, reporting and summarizing study data, establishing and updating assay methods, and collaborating with cross-functional groups.
What You Need for this Position EDUCATION & YEARS' EXPERIENCE
BS with 2+ years' relevant lab-based experience
... or MS with some relevant lab-based experience
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Prior experience with tissue culture (cell lines, primary cells)
- Ability to develop and optimize new assays with minimal guidance
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry
PREFERRED
- Large molecule and antibody R&D experience
- Experience with designing multicolored flow cytometry panels
- Experience running ELISAs
- Experience with immunofluorescence
- Experience with generating heterologous expression in cells
- Experience with systems designed to test antibody affinity and binding kinetics (i.e. - Octet; Biacore)
- Experience with protein purification, running western blots and IEF gels
- Prior research background in immunology
- In vitro and/or ex vivo cell-based experiments
