As Gannett Fleming continues to grow and expand, we are looking for talented Environmental Scientists with strong interest in and experience with conducting a variety of environmental investigations and analysis for a wide range of public and private sector projects. These projects require planning, environmental analysis, compliance with NEPA and other federal and state legislation affording consideration and protection of the environment, and permitting. While we offer a flexible work schedule and ability to work remotely, these positions are based in our West Palm Beach, FL and Miami, FL offices. The successful candidates will be responsible for interpretation of federal, state and local agency regulations; planning and executing inventory and analysis of a wide range of environmental resources including fieldwork; and preparation of a range technical reports and permit applications.

Duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in environmental analysis for multi-discipline design projects for a variety of sectors (e.g., transportation, water, and facilities) across the state and company.
  • Wetland and waterway delineations
  • GIS data collection and analysis using ARCGIS
  • Assisting in projects requiring compliance with NEPA as well as everything under the NEPA "umbrella."
  • Acting as a liaison with other internal design disciplines, subconsultants, subcontractors, and regulatory and resource agencies.
  • Preparing reports and permit applications.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental or physical science or closely related field.
  • A Master's degree is desired but not required.
  • Certifications including PWS, CWB, CE, AICP are desired but not required.
  • 5 to 8 years of related experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations.
  • Experience with wetland delineations, stream surveys and assessments, and restoration design.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data critically and develop supporting information and reports.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in the field and occasional travel overnight.
