Job Description

Summary

Invenra is seeking an enthusiastic Scientist with a strong background in cutting-edge Molecular Biology and antibody library building. As part of the Innovation group, the successful applicant will work cross-functionally with Discovery and Protein Engineering to improve our process and throughput, develop next generation libraries, and continually improve our bispecific platform. Details of the job include molecular cloning, antibody library building, literature search for cutting-edge technologies, and protocol development. The position requires excellent understanding of molecular cloning, primer design, next-generation sequencing, and protein structure/function.

Ideal candidates are currently employed or have been employed in similar types of positions and want to join a R&D group in a rapidly growing biotechnology company. Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Experience in molecular cloning: PCR; Golden Gate, Gibson, and Gateway assembly; bacterial, yeast, and eukaryotic expression constructs.

· Experience with phage, yeast, or other display strategies

· Experience building and running selections on biomolecular libraries

· Understanding of designed intron splicing and signal sequences

· Able to design well-controlled experiments

· Comfortable exploring new ideas and constantly looking to improve

· Strong team player with good communication skills

· General knowledge of immunology and antibody structure-function relationship is a plus

Education:

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or MS in a related field (biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, immunology, etc), preferably with 1 or more additional years of industrial or academic lab experience, or a BS in related field with 3 or more additional years of relevant industrial or academic lab experience.
