Providence, a multidiscipline environmental and engineering consulting firm, is looking for an aggressive and talented individual to help in the expansion of its Natural Resources Services in the Gulf Coast market. A proven technical background in multiple facets of ecological and environmental compliance and project management is required. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter that will assume initiative, is versatile, has a service mentality and is skilled in oral and written communication.

Required
- Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Toxicology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years (preferred 5 years or greater) of relevant experience in the environmental compliance field with an emphasis in due diligence, site assessment, and remediation
- Working knowledge of LDEQ's RECAP including: work plan development, site investigation field activities and sample collection , reporting, and corrective action planning
- Working knowledge of LDEQ's VRP/Brownfields including: QAPP development, remedial investigation work plans and reporting, and cleanup planning
- Experience conducting ASTM 1527-13 and AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
- Experience conducting Phase II Environmental Site Assessments including: work plan development, site investigation field activities and sample collection, and reporting
- Experience in collection of environmental samples from all media for compliance and regulatory purposes
- Working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, specifically pertaining to risk assessment, remediation, solid and hazardous waste, and groundwater
- Knowledgeable of state and federal lead based paint and asbestos containing building material regulations
- Project management experience including project scoping and budget management
- Experience working/negotiating with environmental regulators
- Possess TWIC card or capable of acquiring a TWIC card
- Able to pass a physical including respirator fit testing and pulmonary function test
- Able to work a flexible schedule, potentially including afterhours and weekends
- Valid United States Driver's License
- High level of technical writing aptitude
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Attention to detail and quality control/quality assurance programs
Preferred
- Underground Storage Tank experience
- LDEQ lead paint inspector certification
- LDEQ asbestos inspector certification
- 40 hour HAZWOPER Certified
- Basic Safety Plus 8 hour Certified
- Experience with business development and soliciting new and existing clients
- Experience with remediation design and implementation
