Get paid to work where you already want to be... outside!

We have immediate openings for active outdoors-minded individuals who want to come work with us on our state-of-the-art precision weed management program. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to get outside this summer and better our environment.

Our ideal candidate will enjoy their time outside and is looking for employment in a field where they are able to make a difference and make our beautiful outdoor landscape better for all.

PMG Vegetation Control provides noxious weed control on both public and private lands. Our offices are not measured in square feet, they are measured in square miles. We utilize industry-leading technology and systems to provide the best quality spot eradication of invasive weeds that threaten our natural ecosystems. We take pride in bettering our environments for everyone who uses them.

Pay for this position ranges from $18-$23 with opportunities for advancement.

PMG Vegetation Control is a Technology Company that is leveraging our technology to better our environment and reduce invasive noxious weeds. This job will involve time spent hiking and identifying noxious plant life. Our team members will then apply industry-leading chemical or mechanical treatments to control those populations. Team members will travel to and help manage weed populations through Summit and Salt Lake counties. We will then get to use our GPS-tracked application technology to report exact weed populations and report on spraying.

Nitty Gritty Requirements for the job:
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather and requires the physical fitness to carry a backpack weed sprayer in at times steep terrain. This job will help maintain your summer fitness.
  • Candidates should have at least an interest in plant life and be trainable in the identification of native and invasive species. We can provide the training while you provide the eager mind.
  • We work with industry-leading groundbreaking spray technology. Our team members are a vital part of helping us develop our mobile applications and reporting our weed management programs.
  • Our team often works in small groups covering a large area where you will be often self-directed. Our team gets to those remote locations and back again.
  • Team members must be able to pass a driving background check and drug screen.
  • Candidates must be able to take and pass the Utah Commercial Pesticide Applicator exam and be licensed to spray commercial herbicides. This license requires that you be 18 or older.

PMG Vegetation Control seeks to be at the cutting edge of the best vegetation management practices. We work at all scales of vegetation management from small-scale mechanical treatment projects targeting individual weeds to large-scale chemical treatments on wide fields in oil/gas, mining, and hydro-electric power. We continue to do our part to keep our environments well managed for current times and for future generations. We are always on the lookout for the following types of people: environmental scientists, ecologists, and wildlife biologists, GIS professionals, developers and data analysts, accounting and safety professionals, as well as seasonal labor positions in all fields.

Come help us manage invasive weed species and better our environment today.
