- Demonstrating your expertise with bioinformatics, predictive modeling, Python script development, and Linux-based HPC environments (both on-prem and cloud), you will provide inputs to our early discovery pipeline.
- Having experience in building and documenting computational pipelines with appropriate version control, you will ensure all workflow are reproduceable and transferable.
- Utilizing your experience with current generation bioinformatic tools centered around next generation sequencing, you will assemble, annotate, critically evaluate, and mine microbial genomes.
- Your background with machine learning approaches will be essential as you navigate projects through the iterative discovery process.
- Any experience you may have in utilizing evolutionary genetic insights for directed improvements of protein sequences will be a valued asset as you assist in improving hits to leads.
- Leveraging strong interpersonal skills, you will conceive, initiate, and lead collaborations with internal colleagues and external partners.
- Relying on proven communication skills, you will participate in the larger research community both by sharing your own results, and by providing constructive feedback to colleagues.
