Description:
• Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures including operating with Good Laboratory Practices, US and EU regulations.
• Execute daily activities as assigned.
• Proactively report activities, issues, and schedule progress to management responsible for assigned activities.
• Evaluate biofilm formation of bacterial organisms using in vitro and in vivo experiments with antimicrobial compounds independently following written SOPs.
• Support laboratory activities such as making media, washing glassware, sterilizing samples, preparing experimental set up, and other support functions.
• Develop a working knowledge of instrumentation (set up, operate, troubleshoot & maintain)
• Compile, analyze, and present (both in written and oral form) the results of research studies.
• Maintain detailed online electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Support the development of test documentation including protocols and reports.
• Use critical thinking skills to solve difficult problems and communicate solutions/feedback.
• Design and execute scientific testing experiments using standard test methods to address critical product testing requirements.
• Train, manage, and direct the work of research interns and research technicians when necessary.
• Support critical daily operations
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum of BA or BS Biology, Chemistry or related degree program plus 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices and previous laboratory experience is preferred
