Job Scope & Purpose:

Our client is an expanding manufacturer of biologic therapeutics with full cell line development to commercial production and aseptic fill-finish capabilities.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assay optimization, qualification, validation, technology transfer and release testing for proteins and other biomolecules.
• Support Development and troubleshooting, and transfer and release testing of assays such as ELISA, CE, gel electrophoresis and Western Blots.
• Perform drug substance / drug product release testing, and drug substance / drug product stability study testing.
• Perform microbiological testing such as bioburden, sterility testing, endotoxin and environment monitoring
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments on various projects.
• Interpret data and generate certificates of analysis.
• Identify technical issues, and propose implement solutions.
• Investigate out of specifications and out of trends analytical results
• Support qualification and maintenance of the laboratories and equipment / instrumentation
• Ensure high-quality, timely documentation in laboratory notebooks.

Primary Job Requirements:

• BS or MS with 7+ years of experience in protein/biomolecule characterization assays and immunoassays, microbiology testing for product release testing.
• Experienced with analytical techniques used for biologics (HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot and Microbiology assays)
• Previous exposure to cell-based assay for release and characterization would be a plus
• Interested in a fast-paced, start-up work environment
