The Environmental Sciences and Studies Program at Stonehill College invites applications for a 2-year half-time teaching postdoctoral fellowship. The successful applicant will design and teach two courses per semester (routinely capped at 24 students) and will have the opportunity to engage in other programmatic activities, including research with undergraduates. The position includes full benefits for the successful applicant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The ENV program at Stonehill College is growing rapidly, currently serving approximately 75 majors and minors. We are seeking applications from candidates that can help us to support existing courses and expand our program offerings in new and exciting directions. We welcome applications from those in the geosciences or environmental social sciences. The ability to teach courses that would connect our academic division with our on-campus farm (for example, courses in sustainable agriculture, soil science, and/or environmental health) is of particular interest. As a program, we are particularly committed to fostering diversity among our faculty and students. We value and support experiential learning and community-based learning.

Education and/or Experience:

Qualifications include the recent completion of a disciplinary or interdisciplinary Ph.D. in an environmental field.
