As an Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager in the Natural Resources Department, you are a natural leader with a strong work ethic. Although you do not have much past experience in environmental consulting, you are able to quickly learn the ropes. Your passion for the environment is evident and is displayed in the excellent work you do while conducting your evaluations and assessments. You have great communication skills and are easily able to interact with your team and clients. You will be part of a dynamic, growing, and energized team - and your role is key to the success of ECS. While your job duties may fluctuate day to day, here are some areas we expect to see you proficient in:

  • Participating in wetland and natural resource projects
  • Becoming familiar with Federal [USACE] State, and local wetlands regulations and guidelines
  • Learning the regulatory/permitting/mitigation process
  • Assisting with performing endangered species surveys
  • Garnering a basic understanding of Environmental site assessments, groundwater and soil investigations, media sampling, remediation system design, installation, operation and maintenance
  • Daily field reporting
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to take on marketing and business development
  • Assisting with project resolutions
  • Preparation of report and proposals
  • Scheduling, training and oversight of environmental technicians

  • BS in Geology or a discipline related to Environmental Science
  • 0-2 years of environmental consulting experience
