Job Description
The Chemical Biology Team within the Biological Systems Science Group at PNNL is seeking a Biomedical Scientist who will work collaboratively across projects in chemical biology, omics, and various areas of biology. Expertise in chemical biology, organic chemistry, and omics are desired. The candidate will be expected to help in lab organization, safety, and operations and help mentor interns. The candidate will also be responsible for helping in project reporting, manuscript development, and external scientific presentations at regional and national science meetings.
Candidates are expected to have a degree in organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or a related field. We seek individuals who can work independently and creatively in the lab while collaboratively teaming to help DOE, NIH, DoD and other research grants succeed.

Minimum Qualifications
BS/BA with 0-1 years of experience or MS/MA with 0-1 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or related field.
- A track record of independent laboratory research, i.e. can perform research tasks with little or no guidance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently as well as in interdisciplinary group settings with internal and external collaborators.
- Skills consistent with the state of the art.
- Must be a skilled professional who applies a broad basis of existing theories, principles, and concepts to a specialty field.
