The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.Prepares action plans and schedules for various phases of project accomplishment, both short and long-range; ensures that plans are consistent with Service goals, schedules, and policies.
Plans, coordinates, and establishes operating methods and procedures for accomplishment of project mission; as needed, directs the development and accomplishment of employee training relating to the project.
Conducts in-depth analyses of project data, requirements, and impact; identifies problem areas and determines how to resolve them.
Conducts briefings and prepares comprehensive reports to keep managers and executives advised of project plans and progress and to communicate findings and recommendations.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

- Alternative work schedule, staggered work hours or telework may be available.
- If you are in a telework eligible position, you may be directed to temporarily telework on a full-time basis due to COVID 19. Employees must be within a 150-mile radius of their official assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. Once normal operations resume, employees may be directed back to the office to perform the duties of their position. Telework eligibility does not guarantee telework; employees must meet and sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program. As a reminder - If you are selected for a position, you are responsible for reporting to your designated POD (location) on the negotiated start date or as directed by management.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-12 LEVEL: To be eligible for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 level in the Federal Government. To be qualifying, your experience must be sufficient to demonstrate accomplishment of project assignments that required a range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, sufficient to accomplish projects or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. You must also demonstrate experience with a range of laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the segment(s) of the Service's program affected by the assigned project or study; management principles and processes to perform project management duties and to effectively coordinate and integrate project objectives and recommendations and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
