Physical Scientist within Remote Sensing, Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Hanover, NH - site currently undergoing remedial investigation of trichloroethylene (formerly used as a refrigerant) that was released into the environment; interim actions underway to ensure a safe work environment. To qualify for this position, you must meet the Basic Requirement for each job series in addition to required experience.
Physical Scientist, 1301 series:
A. Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in physical science, engineering, or mathematics which included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR
B. Combination of education and experience which includes courses equivalent to one of the majors, as shown in A above, that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the below experience:
Experience required:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Applying knowledge in the field of geospatial technologies in order to develop solutions to future national challenges; 2) Demonstrated skill in conducting geospatial studies focused on corporate and enterprise implementations; 3) Utilizing written and oral communication to present comprehensive geospatial technology studies to other geospatial developers and senior officials.
