Environmental Field Technician

Environmental Field Technician - DOSH CSST (asbestos)This solicitation is for an environmental building inspector. Inspections will be performed to determine the presence of lead and/or asbestos in residential or commercial buildings. We will give preference to those with Asbestos certifications and experience. This position requires that you inspect living spaces for asbestos and/or lead, collect samples, drop samples off at the lab and write subsequent reports utilizing the lab results. We prefer that our inspectors have a good understanding of buildings and how they are constructed.
Compensation:
$65,000 - $75,000
Responsibilities:To be able to perform the duties of the job, applicants need to be physically fit. This position requires physical inspection of buildings and you will be required to:Inspect attics/crawlspaces (This is not frequent, but you must be able to enter and move around in small spaces)Climb laddersKneel down and reach into far back corners of cabinetsDrive Times - Typically our inspectors will go to 2-3 properties each day. These properties will be located within 2 hours of your residence. The times and exact locations of these properties and daily drive times will vary each day. You should be prepared to drive 1 to 3 hours each day.Qualifications:RequirementsMinimum 1-year experience (REQUIRED) conducting Asbestos surveysMinimum 1 year experience in Lead Paint Inspection Risk AssessmentBachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred and or encouraged)Current Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) or Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) license is required.CDPH - Lead Sampling Technician or Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor credentialed encouragedKnowledge of Microsoft Office, email and scheduling programsReliable TransportationClean driving recordAbout Company
