Overview:
This an exciting new role located in Seattle, WA. You will focus on automation and process improvement in financial operations throughout the company and its affiliates, working with business and technology experts to improve efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy. You will develop financial models, dashboards, metrics and reports, analyze data and transform it into insightful and compelling stories. You will create self-service reporting tools that highlight key metrics on a real-time basis to increase transparency and enable timely decision-making. Seattle area candidates will only be considered, no relocation available.You are entrepreneurial and intensely curious about many different industries, which helps you to design and implement scalable process improvements within a complex organization. Responsibilities:
Overall Focus & Responsibilities Prepares complex financial models for the analysis of business opportunities, analyzes data to identify the salient issues and presents findings, alternatives and recommendations to company leadership.Reaches out and supports non-financial business partners throughout the company, to seek opportunities for improvement, analyze new business proposals, forecast financial outcomes, and identify risk areas.Collaborates with others to brainstorm alternatives, expand on creative ideas, develop supporting business cases, and design solutions.Works with stakeholders company-wide to develop dashboards/self-service reporting.Bridges technology and the business to ensure that solutions achieve desired results.Acts as first point of contact for ad-hoc reporting, analysis and process improvement requests with a focus on providing high quality customer service.Manages a portfolio of internal projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results. Documents the current state, captures business requirements, develops project plans, builds project teams, collaborates with teammates to design a future state, oversees user acceptance testing, develops user documentation/training plans, and manages rollouts.Leverages existing applications and identifies gaps/new technology solutions.Improves the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, analysis, and reporting.Plays a key role in integrating the technical and financial processes of acquisitions into Sealaskas overall structure.Develops executive-level presentations that tell a story and summarize key insights.

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, data science or related field or equivalent experience.Broad range of experience in accounting and finance activities with medium to large-sized corporations, to include two years experience using business intelligence/data and leading company-wide process improvement initiatives.Working knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.Two years experience presenting financial analysis and recommendations to leadership.Advanced Microsoft Office and business-intelligence software skills.Technology experience includes some combination of Oracle, Deltek CostPoint, Office 365, and analytical/reporting tools like Cognos, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar.Able to analyze, synthesize and present data that facilitates decision-making.Highly analytical and detail-oriented, yet still able to think strategically.Is a self-starter, able to set goals and objectives with little direction in a fast-paced and changing environment.Highly collaborative and enjoys teaching, coaching, and training others through the use of data, technology, and automation.Able to communicate clearly and concisely to financial and non-financial colleagues, both orally and in writing.Additional Requirements:Position is subject to satisfactory completion of a background, financial and reference checksCandidates must be eligible to work within the US and be able to provide appropriate documentationTravel up to 30%Who We AreSealaska is a for-profit Alaska Native Corporation that was formed in 1971 as result of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) the largest land settlement in US history.
