Our company currently has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Safety & Environmental Technician at our Troy, Ohio location.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Daily, weekly, and monthly EPA required inspections and company required inspections.
2. Maintain logbooks and records of inspections.
3. Data Entry and weekly reports of air data related to permits.
4. Movement of drums in plants and associated labeling.
5. Manifest filing, tracking and spreadsheets.
6. SDS submission for entry into Sitehawk database and maintenance.
7. Assist in routine spill cleanup.
8. Sampling for compliance in Environmental and Safety compliance or investigations.
9. Stock/Order/Manage supplies including spill equipment.
10. Assist in auditing and maintaining of labels and general HazCom requirements in plant.
11. STOP data entry.
12. Safety Reports.
13. Assist group in accident identification and prevention programs.
Qualifications:
1. Two year college degree or equivalent experience plus education.
2. HAZWOPER 8 hours.
3. 24 to 40 certification preferred.
4. At least one year of experience in safety, or environmental compliance.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
6. Familiarity with Oracle preferred.
