Thermochemical Process Consultant, Environment & Supply Chain Innovation

Our client, a global consumer device company located in Cupertino, California is seeking to hire an exceptional Thermochemical Process Consultant to lead a project to evaluate recycling impact and options for the betterment of the environment. This individual will be responsible for looking into the advanced recycling / thermal process and technology to evaluate and deliver recommendations for alternative solutions to build into future strategy.

Responsibilities:

Deliver analysis and reporting from plastic recycling study.
Make plastic recycling recommendations for future company strategy.
Identify top 3 extraction technologies and provide deep-dive results.
Create guidance for literature used within the reporting.
Collaborate with safer chemistry group to evaluate hazardous material potential.

Required Skillset:

D. degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, or similar related field.
Experience and knowledge in plastic recycling, specifically the thermochemical process.
Passionate about analyzing and understanding the industrial process in detail and finding creative ways to explore pathways to reduce their environmental impact.
Prior experience with research and documentation projects.
Experience in working in cross-functional teams in large corporation.
Strong communication skills.
Self-motivated individual with strong communication and presentation skills, flexible, open working style, and an ability to establish trust and credibility quickly.
Background in Environmental Engineering or Life Cycle Assessments is a plus.
Any formal publications or patents, a plus.

Duration: 3-6 Months

Hours: Full time or part time
