Summary and Essential Duties:
The Enterprise Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program Manager develops and manages programs meant to protect associate health and safety or promote environmental compliance throughout the enterprise. This position is eligible for considerations for remote work.Essential Duties:Lead initiatives that impact the adoption and implementation of EHS programs, practices, and procedures throughout the organizationLead development of EHS program initiatives that embed EHS practices into daily positive operational behaviorsDevelop EHS Program requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while meeting safety/ environmental management system best practicesReview EHS systems for technical accuracy and effectiveness and direct corrective action as appropriateManagement responsibilities for identifying and resolving opportunities for improvement within EHS program Maintain superior EHS subject matter expertiseServe Operations as Shamrocks in-house EHS consultant by, among other things, translating technical EHS requirements into practical guidance useable by personnel not expert in EHS mattersInterface with regulators such as OSHA, EPA, and state and local authorities (in coordination with the HR and Operations teams) to address EHS issuesDrive timely and accurate monthly EHS process management leading and lagging indicator measurement reporting across the EnterpriseProvide EHS training as needed to mentor EHS implementors, ensuring their successConcisely escalate EHS program management issues to upper managementDevelops relationships with internal customersOther duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental compliance, or a related fieldMasters degree in safety and/or MBA preferredCertified Safety Professional (CSP) and/ or safety certificationRegistered Environmental Manager (REM) or environmental certification preferred 5+ years working with Safety Management Systems8+ years of related EHS experience with 4+ years in a supervisory/management role preferredFoodservice, warehouse, or manufacturing industry experience preferredExperience with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 Management SystemsStrong understanding of OSHA & EPA standards and best practicesStrong oral and written communication skills to articulate key EHS information to the enterprise, including to non-EHS professionalsProven ability to effect positive systems change, identify opportunities, sustain results, and share learning to an organizationAbility to work in deadline-driven environmentSelf-motivated leaderStrong people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a teamGood planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work in order to meet deadlinesMicrosoft Office proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPointMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the role which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays
