The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As an Advanced Microbiologist in 3M Corporate Research Analytical Laboratory (CRAL), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Providing microbiology studies for 3M corporate research laboratories and divisions
  • Preparing microbial samples, performing testing, documenting test results
  • Partnering with other researchers in 3M corporate research analytical laboratory and broader 3M technical community on technical projects


Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • Experience working in a microbiology laboratory and handling biological materials in a private, public, government or military environment


Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biological sciences, Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or related field
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a microbiology laboratory and handling biological materials in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience with microbiology sample processing and test methods


Travel: May include up to [5%][domestic/international]

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
