The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Molecular Biology, invites applications for an Instructor (research track, nontenured) faculty position. The position requires a Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related field and six years of postdoctoral research experience. Position requires specialized research training and expertise in neural regeneration after traumatic neural injuries. Research conducted will include defining molecular and cellular strategies to generate new neurons after injuries in mouse models. Requires ability to perform delicate neural surgeries and molecular and cellular analysis of the neural tissues from those models. Will analyze and collect data to present for publications and in meetings and to apply for grant funding.
