Senior Hydrologist

Exponent's is currentlyseeking a Hydrologist for a Managing Engineer/Scientistlevel positionfor our Pasadena, CA,Oakland, CA, or Bellevue, WA office. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, including a range of analysis techniques and modeling tools. Experience with water quality evaluations and water quality modeling is desired. Experience in litigation support and expert witness testimony is a plus.

This position requires expertise in one of more of the following areas: Hydraulic Analysis, Hydrologic Evaluations, Climate Change Hydrology, Aquatic Chemistry and Water Quality Assessment.

Qualifications for this position include:

M.S. or Ph.D. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, Limnology, Water Resources, Oceanography, or similar discipline

Prior experience in environmental consulting or part-time consulting from an academic position is a plus

A strong reputation among clients for integrity, responsiveness, and technical expertise

Experience as an expert witness is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in managing projects and multidisciplinary teams

Experience with common modeling tools is desired (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, surface water-groundwater modeling tools, computational fluid dynamics models such as Delft-3D, etc.)

Experience with handling and managing large datasets and data visualization is desired
