The RNA & Targeted Therapeutics group is a part of Discovery Sciences in Janssen R&D and is engaged in developing cutting edge therapeutics that require intracellular and tissue specific delivery, across the modality spectrum in partnership with Janssen therapeutic area teams. We are hiring an Associate Scientist II to support biology efforts within our Targeted Therapeutics team. The Associate Scientist II will be responsible for screening new therapeutics using standard cell and molecular biology techniques including cell-based internalization, RT/qPCR and cell viability assays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing experiments and presenting data through both written and oral communication. Candidate will need to collaborate regularly with both internal and external scientists.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a BS in Biology, or other related discipline, with at least 3 years post-graduate experience is required
- Additional experience in one or more of the following is desired: PCR, High Content Microscopy, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, and cell-based assay development is required
- Experience with cell culture is required
- Must have a proven track record of multi-tasking two or more projects, be able to understand how data impacts the bigger picture
- Previous industry experience in Biotech or Pharmaceuticals is required.
- Ability to work in Spring House, PA is required
