The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As an Environmental, Health and Safety Systems Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Leading EHS IT strategy across multiple systems: serve as primary liaison between 3M EHS and 3M IT/TTS, working in close partnership with the EHS IT Leader and EHS System Owners to assure project implementation on-time and within budget.
  • Systematically identifying & prioritizing development opportunities/projects that (1) optimize data management; (2) improve system governance of EHS program/process requirements; (3) improve system user satisfaction; and (4) continually advance 3M EHS priorities.
  • Developing and driving standard work and common processes to create more efficiency & effectiveness in EHS IT project improvement workflows, data-driven decision making, prioritization (including planning for new or existing system upgrades), timeline to execution, and communication.
  • Co-managing (with EHS IT Lead) EHS system projects, including annual project prioritization, budgeting, resourcing, schedule, and communication; define, track, and report key milestones through project completion and effectively communicate with stakeholders (e.g., EHS IT Leader, EHS System Owners, EHS System Users, EHS Leads/Managers, etc.).
  • Leading internal client collaboration sessions and assuring business process decisions and requirements are effectively translated among System Users, System Owners, and EHS IT.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years combined EHS and/or systems management experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in science, engineering, EHS, IT systems, or related fields from an accredited institution
  • Strong project management, prioritization and communication skills

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: Is authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
