EH&S Director's Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage environmental, health and safety through leadership, communication, motivation and direction of the department
  • Guide the development and implementation of health and safety policies with specific focus on culture and behaviors
  • Conduct a rigorous incident investigation process with regard to prevention, root cause, analysis and injury prevention indicators
  • Coordinate and provide safety training for all employees
  • Develop and administer new hire orientation safety training
  • Investigate and maintain records for all work injuries and or illnesses and provide analysis
  • Oversee the Worker's Compensation Program and implement an effective plan for reduction of injuries and costs
  • Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training and practice drills
  • Develop and manage the internal safety team
  • Conduct monthly workplace safety audits and establish measurable standards

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Science or a related academic field | AA/AS plus two years experience | or ten years experience
  • Must pass a pre-employment screen
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
