A Pharmaceutical Manufacturer is looking to add a Microbiology Analyst to their team!
This is an entry level to mid-level job in the department. The primary purpose of this role is in-process product, raw material, finished product and water testing. Large portion of activities are usually devoted to environmental testing which includes endotoxin, identification, and bioburden assays on in process materials and raw materials. The analyst will be responsible for routine and production related environmental monitoring and will be required to aseptically gown to enter and collect samples from the aseptic fill area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform environmental monitoring in support of commercial filling activities and routine environmental monitoring program
- Perform endotoxin, identification, bioburden assays on in-process and raw materials (including water).
- Perform preservative effectiveness, sterility, endotoxin, particulates etc. testing on finished products.
- Write, review, and execute microbiology protocols in support of environmental qualifications, experimental studies, and method revalidation activities, when required.
- Writes/reviews/ and edits ACM, ICM and SOP documents.
- Provide Microbiology support for Manufacturing and Validation activities
- Performs media fill testing in support of Manufacturing and Environmental Monitoring programs
- Performs data review and trending data entry.
- Responsible for adhering to the Environmental, Health and Safety program.
- Handling materials
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in the Biological Sciences (BS) and
- 1-3 years related experience with a QC Microbiology laboratory doing endotoxin and bioburden assays within medical industry (pharma, diagnostic, med device, research)
- Experience conducting gram staining techniques
- Strong technical knowledge of analytical and microbiological techniques.
- Strictly follow written procedures.
- Excellent documentation skills and note taking
- Ability to communicate within different departments
NICE TO HAVE:
-pharmaceutical microbiology experience
-experience in aseptic gowning
