Entry-Level Laboratory Technician

Currently hiring for an entry-level lab technician opening here in the Columbus area! This is an immediate opening and we are looking to setup phone interviews ASAP! This is an entry-level opening so we are looking for someone with a degree in a scientific field, but we are open to training new people as long as you have the necessary educational experience.
Description:
- Will be working in a paint lab environment performing a variety of different testing.
- Most lab techniques will be more wet chemistry based such as viscosity or ph testing.
- Other duties will include the following:
- Comply with test methods according to set standards.
- Document all formulation processes.
- Function with sustained supervision and write simple reports, outlining procedures used and the results obtained.
- Complete proper forms and documents when necessary.
- Attend quality, safety, technical meetings and seminars as necessary.
- Comply with all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate with internal as well as external customers.
- Manage work in accordance of timeline goals.
- Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.
- Perform chemistry based testing
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Looking for someone with a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field Some examples of degrees may include, but are not limited to: biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, zoology, animal science, etc.). Do not need previous lab experience outside of school.
