Golder Associates is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Consultant to work out of our Denver, CO office.
Salary range : $115,310 - $172,960
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Business Development
- Lead and develop partnership opportunities and capitalize on "add-on" opportunities within existing projects
- Utilize technical expertise to further increase Golder's profile in the Mining Sector by expanding our range of services to existing clients and identifying and developing new clients through your existing contacts
- Lead Golder's Mine Safety and Industrial Hygiene business by developing work and building capacity within the US team
Project/Practice and Client Involvement
- Lead and participate in project teams on multiple projects
- Understand our clients' needs by delivering high quality service to ensure client satisfaction (demonstrated through repeat business and referrals)
- Function as a technical leader and key participant in team and client meetings
- Recognize areas for internal improvement and work with senior colleagues to implement improvements
- Minimize our exposure and risk across projects and our day to day operations
Technical
- Serve as a technical resource with a focus on Golder's Mining related industrial hygiene business across the life cycle of project work: problem definition, solution development, testing, engineering, commissioning and operations support
- Serve as leadership and bench strength for project development and delivery (proposals, project management, client relations, senior reviews, team development and training)
- Build relationships and business opportunities with other Golder staff around the world, through constructive engagement and collaboration
- Arrange technical presentations and webinars in areas of your expertise
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and maintain expertise in technologies to serve key business interests
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational & Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or similar discipline
- Minimum 10 years EHS experience with a working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including those related to occupational health & safety assessments and programs
- Experience conducting field work in various EHS practice areas including IH
- CIH certification, or the ability to obtain this certification within one year
- Business development and client service management skills with a proven track record of developing project opportunities and maintaining successful client relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired
- Master's degree in Occupational & Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or similar discipline
- Experience with compliance audits and EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) with a focus on mining and manufacturing clients
- Professional certification or license (CSP, PE, CMSP or equivalent)
- Experience with environmental permitting and reporting
- Strong existing client relationships and professional contacts
