Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Research Associate I position is to assist with gene editing of pluripotent stem cells. This position will work primarily in a laboratory setting in collaboration with other Scientists and Research Associates.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Culture and maintain human pluripotent stem cells.
- Generate gene-edited pluripotent stem cell lines.
- Perform molecular biology techniques, including PCR and cloning.
- Perform multi-color flow cytometry assays.
- Closely collaborate with other members of the Research group.
- Perform experiments independently with careful attention to detail, accurately record procedures/data/results in a timely manner.
- Interpret data, draw appropriate conclusions from experimental work, and present findings in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned or special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Required
- BS degree with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience or MS with 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience with standard molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, cloning and sequencing.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture.
- Diligence and meticulous attention to detail in experimentation and record keeping.
- Willingness to learn and enthusiasm to be part of the development of a cutting-edge therapy platform.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with supervision and ability to effectively collaborate with other teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with pluripotent stem cells.
- Experience with gene editing of mammalian cells.
- Experience performing multiparameter flow cytometry and associated data analysis (FlowJo).
